1. Resist Corporate Control over Seed and Food :

Food sovereignty, ecological agriculture and biodiversity are the major components on which the citizen groups, women, and men, adolescents, farmers, citizen groups, activists are made critically aware. It strongly raises the issues how the corporate agencies take control over seed and agriculture and violate human rights particularly farmers’ rights introducing hybrid and genetically modified organisms. It draws interactions through seminars, dialogues, study circles, discussion meetings, media briefing and analyze policies that lead to privatization and affects people’s way of life and livelihood.

2. Campaign on Aid Conditions, aid effectiveness, and accountability :

This is a campaign aims at promoting critical awareness among people at large to resist the economic policy conditionalities mainly social and economic sector reform, privatization of public services etc which are imposed by the WB and IMF in the name of structural adjustment programmes and policies, poverty reduction strategy papers (PRSP) etc. It critically analyzes sector wise development and draw the attention of the concerned through dialogue, seminar, media briefing etc. It works with the members of the civil and political society and demonstrates against bilateral and multilateral policy impositions for economic freedom and independent Bangladesh.

3. Youth Leadership Programme (YLP) on alternative development paradigm :

It aims at building perspective on neo-liberal economic hegemony. This programme deals with the students groups of schools, colleges and universities through discussion, debate, study circles on issues around IFIs, WTO, TNCs etc.

4. Media, Communication Rights and ICTs :

It encompasses community media especially campaign on community radio, freedom of expression and access to knowledge and right to information, and building communities using ICTs and information resource centres. It generates knowledge through disseminating information to the activists, communities and also to the members of the civil and political society. It facilitates access to right to information building a knowledge society. It has Information Resource Centre outside Dhaka where young people, adolescents, farmers and other communities have the access to learning, sharing and disseminating information for building a knowledge society.

5. Campaign on the Role of IFIs, WTO and TNCs :

It is a campaign aims at building linkages with other national and local development organizations, citizen groups, local movements while it deals with neo-liberal economic hegemony i.e. corporate globalization, privatization, trade, investment and development etc as well as draw the their negative impacts over life and livelihood.

6. Research and advocacy :

It mainly focuses public service sector like health and education, food and agriculture, and also global policy frameworks such as the roles of IFIs, WTO and TNCs, media, communication rights and ICTs etc. It reviews and analyzes policy papers and design campaigns to make them people centred and more development friendly. The advocacy campaigns are designed and implemented based on review and research findings. It generates policy briefs, research papers, booklet, manual, poster, leaflet as a part of advocacy materials to generate awareness for building constituencies.

7. Building capacity :

It provides different skill base training especially on advocacy, governance through participatory approach and prepare sets of participatory methodology for project planning, strategic planning and evaluation etc,. It empowers communities through building capacity and generating knowledge for a just society.

8. Networking and coordination :

It is one of the major areas to work with the local, national and international levels drawing micro-macro interactions and linkages that help establishing relation with people’s struggle with international movements. It also maintains continuous and effective relation to different national and international agencies where we work together as a member or fellow organization to achieve common goals and objectives.
